Different Age Groups
Infants (birth to 18 months)
With a staff-to-child ratio of 1:3, we provide a warm and caring environment where your little one can thrive during these critical early months.
Toddlers (18 months to 2.5 years)
In our toddler rooms, we maintain a ratio of 1:5, allowing for personalized attention as your child begins to explore and learn about the world around them.
Preschoolers (2.5 years to 6 years)
Our preschool program offers a staff-to-child ratio of 1:8, focusing on creating a balanced, engaging learning experience that prepares your child for the next steps in their educational journey.
Transitions Between Groups
- At Tiny Hearts Daycare Center, children advance to the next group based on three primary factors:
- Developmental Readiness
- Age Appropriateness
- Space Availability
- When your child is ready to move to the next group, we make sure they have plenty of opportunities to visit their new group. This helps them become comfortable with their new teachers, routines, and friends before the transition.
Enrollment Policy
Our daycare offers flexible enrollment options to meet your needs. For part-time enrollment, we require a minimum of 3 days per week to ensure consistency in the care and development of your child. Specific days must be selected in advance and remain consistent each week. For full-time enrollment, your child can attend our daycare every weekday, providing continuous care and development opportunities. Both options are designed to support your child’s growth and provide a stable routine

Monitoring Your Child’s Development
We closely monitor and document each child’s growth and development. Our educators follow the Continuum of Development outlined in the ELECT framework. For more details on the ELECT and How Does Learning Happen frameworks, please visit the Ministry of Education’s website.
Parent-Teacher Meetings
At Tiny Hearts, we hold Parent-Teacher Meetings every six months to discuss your child’s progress in detail. These meetings give you the chance to sit down with your child’s teacher to review their development records and portfolios. While we provide daily updates, these biannual meetings offer a comprehensive overview of your child’s growth. Additionally, if you ever wish to discuss your child’s progress outside of these scheduled meetings, you can arrange a one-on-one meeting with their teacher at any time.
At Tiny Hearts, we believe every child learns at their own pace. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to challenge without overwhelming, ensuring that each child feels confident and supported as they grow.
We are proud to be an inclusive daycare center, welcoming children of all abilities.
