Language Development
Building Communication & Expression
Language is a crucial part of a child's development, and at Tiny Hearts, we place a strong emphasis on building communication skills and a rich vocabulary. Our Language Development program is structured to grow with your child, from the earliest coos to complex sentence structures.
Infants:
- Songs & Rhymes: Infants are exposed to language through songs, rhymes, and simple interactions that build their auditory recognition and early speech patterns.
- Simple Interactions: Gentle interactions and responsive communication help infants understand the basics of language and social cues.
Toddlers:
- Sandpaper Alphabet: Toddlers learn letter recognition and phonics through tactile engagement with the Sandpaper Alphabet, reinforcing the connection between sounds and symbols.
- Color Tablets: Introduction to color tablets allows toddlers to distinguish and match colors, enhancing visual discrimination.
- Storytelling & Songs: Storytelling sessions and songs create a language-rich environment, promoting vocabulary growth and comprehension.
- Language-Rich Environment: Toddlers are immersed in a language-rich environment where they are encouraged to express themselves and learn new words daily.
Preschoolers:
- Phonics & Digraphs: Preschoolers advance to learning phonics and digraphs, building a strong foundation for reading and writing.
