Practical Life Skills
Nurturing Independence & Daily Mastery
At Tiny Hearts Daycare Center, we understand the importance of equipping children with practical life skills from a young age. Our program is designed to foster independence, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment in each child.
Infants:
- Sensory Play: Infants engage in sensory play activities that enhance their early motor skills and cognitive development.
- Basic Coordination: Activities like grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects help infants develop their fine motor skills.
Toddlers:
- Pouring, Spooning, and Transferring: Toddlers practice pouring liquids, spooning materials, and transferring objects, which improves hand-eye coordination and focus.
- Dressing Frames: Mastery of dressing frames (zippers, buttons, snaps) helps toddlers learn self-care tasks independently.
- Basic Cleaning & Food Prep: Toddlers are introduced to simple cleaning tasks and basic food preparation, encouraging responsibility and self-reliance.
Preschoolers:
- Advanced Dressing Frames: Preschoolers tackle more complex dressing tasks, such as tying bows and shoelaces, fostering dexterity and patience.
- Involved Cleaning Tasks: Preschoolers take on more involved cleaning tasks, learning the importance of maintaining their environment.
- Refined Food Preparation: With guidance, preschoolers refine their food preparation skills, promoting healthy eating habits and self-sufficiency.
